

Fans took their frustrations out on the game's trailer, blowing up the like bar with dislikes. When Blizzard announced the game at BlizzCon last year it was greeted with a pretty negative response. The aesthetic of the character changes as well, depending on the item.Īll in all, it doesn't seem as though these updates to Diablo Immortal are enough to change the opinions most fans have for the game. For example, fire attacks can become ice, and arrows can become grenades.


Legendary items are artifacts that morph the skills of a player's avatar character. This new feature introduces legendary items to the game. A couple of new areas made an appearance, but the other big reveal alongside ultimate attacks was Diablo Immortal's equipment system. The trailer presented some other updates for the game as well.

Crusaders can become completely invincible, and for Barbarians, every basic attack produces AOE damage. Wizards fire multiple bolts of lightning that chain through foes. Monks can augment their basic attacks with energy. Demon Hunters can fire off a plethora of arrows with a single shot. Necromancers can fire out homing projectiles in the shape of skulls. There are currently six classes planned for Diablo Immortal and, naturally, all of them will utilize their ultimate attacks differently to some extent. Once the gauge is full, they'll be able to unleash the attack whenever they please. Every time they strike an enemy, they will fill a gauge geared toward the ultimate attack. Blizzard describes them as being "face-meltingly powerful." The way the new system works, players can reach their ultimate attacks through basic combat. Ultimate Attacks, as the name suggests, are the most powerful attacks and abilities that the player has access to.
